Mark Holtshousen, Master Executive Coach and Head of Talent Global Solutions, MTN
In 2007, CEO Magazine described Mark as “…one of the most influential newcomers to the leadership landscape in South Africa today, and the executive coach sought out by top business leaders, high profile individuals, and celebrities. Mark’s clients have included Olympic Gold Medallists, and senior executive leadership in leading global companies including ExxonMobil, Microsoft, Ericsson, Deloitte, Virgin, Norton Rose Fulbright, Johnson & Johnson, Deutsche Bank, Anglo, SAB Miller, Tiger Brands, MTN, Vodacom, Telkom, Standard Bank, Nedbank, FNB, ABSA, Massmart, Alexander Forbes, and Servest. With almost 20 years of experience as an executive coach and over 10 000 hours of documented face-to-face time coaching clients, Mark is currently regarded as one of the leading executive coaches in South Africa and has an impressive international track record as a speaker and author. In 2015 Mark joined the MTN Group, a mobile telecommunications operator, to head up its Global Career Management portfolio across MTN’s 22 operations in Africa and the Middle-East, and then its Global Talent Solutions portfolio. Mark has a Master of Philosophy degree in Management Coaching from the University of Stellenbosch. He also holds an ACMC certification from the International Meta-Coach Foundation and is a PNI Accredited Advanced Trainer.
Jacques Myburgh, Co-founder, SACoachingNews
Jacques Myburgh is a qualified executive coach, having graduated with distinction from the University of Stellenbosch School of Business with a master’s degree in management coaching. He has a specific interest in transition coaching and existential coaching. His coaching and consulting services are further supported by a BSc in Information Systems and an MBA from Oxford-Brookes University in Strategic Marketing Management and Organisational Change Facilitation. Based in Cape Town, Jacques is co-founder of SACoachingNews, South Africa’s only publication for the professional coach. He is strongly committed to the use of research results in practice and is Chair of COMENSA’s Research Portfolio Committee. Jacques holds the SAQA recognised credential of COMENSA Senior Practitioner (CSP). He is a published researcher and provides customised research services for various organisations.
Jeanett Modise, Chief Executive: Human Resources, Sanlam Group
Jeanett Modise is the Chief Executive: Human Resources for the Sanlam Group with effect from 1 July 2019. Jeanett is an accomplished HR professional with extensive experience at executive level, driving HR strategy, operations and turnaround in local and global organisations. A strong team builder and team player with the ability to drive organisational change, deliver results and contribute strategically to leadership teams in dynamic, customer focused, growth businesses where the attraction, retention and development of top talent is one of the key business drivers. Jeanett has passion for human capital and has received a number consummate achievements in her career as an HR Professional including the Future of HR Hall of Fame, Lifetime Award in 2017 for her contribution to the HR fraternity, impacting business, performance and culture through innovative human capital management strategies, for more than 10 years.
Michael Taylor, Managing Director, Xponential
Michael Taylor is Managing Director of Xponential (Pty) Ltd, a professional services firm he founded in 2006, where he is the practice leader for executive coaching and leadership development. He is also a Director of People Quotient (Pty) Ltd (PQ). Michael has a wealth of practical experience at both management and executive levels. He inherently understands the challenges leaders face in the current world of complex volatility, and has been instrumental in creating and delivering many significant global transformation projects that have seen organisations execute their strategies with greater clarity, insight and inspired leadership. He is highly regarded as a thought leader in the field of executive coaching, learning agility and organizational transformation.
Creina Schneier, Founder, Ithaca Leadership
Working systemically with individuals and teams to build organisational environments that encourage the best from those who inhabit them is the focus of Creina’s individual and team leadership coaching practice. After establishing Ithaca Leadership (Pty) Ltd in 2008, her work has included large-scale leadership and culture transformation and the development of leadership capacity and change agility. She believes that sustainable organisational performance improvement can be achieved through more effective communication, enhanced authentic leadership, deeper collaboration and greater alignment. Creina holds several coaching and facilitation qualifications, including Relationship Systems Coaching and the Thinking Environment, which enable her to work with leaders and teams to embrace the diversity that resides within their system and optimise the opportunities that change presents.
Ronnie Ndlovu, Founder, Execufind
Ronnie has been coaching for over 10 years. His experience over the last five years spans both public and private sector companies. Clients coached range from teams (shop-floor employees and their leaders through to executives) and one-on-one executive coaching (professional to executive levels). The coaching has done been in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Botswana. Ronnie is the founder of a company, Execufind, which he started in 1994, focusing primarily, at that time, on executive search. He has extensive experience in evaluating executives’ suitability, especially cultural fit, for roles in a wide range of companies, both South African and multinationals. Ronnie has focused his coaching business more on relationship coaching in teams and on executive coaching. In 2014 he was one of the first two coaches in Africa selected for the international training faculty of CRR Global, Inc.
Fatima Newman, Chief Commercial Officer, EOH Holdings
Fatima Newman is the Chief Commercial Officer for EOH Holdings Limited. She is a strategically-minded Executive with 25 years’ experience across a range of industries. She leads with an innovation and systems thinking approach and is committed to productivity, performance improvement and ongoing learning. She is a measured and considered individual and believes the world will gain much out of people applying their creativity, critical thought, intuition and imagination.
Dr Dumisani Magadlela, Programme Manager, Facilitator and Executive Coach, Human Capital Division - Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA)
Dr Dumi Magadlela is an Executive and Leadership Coach, Coach Trainer and African Skills Development Practitioner based in Midrand, Johannesburg. He is currently a Trustee and Board Member for the International Coach Federation (ICF) Foundation Board (Global). Dumi is a co-founder and founding Chairperson of the Ubuntu Coaching Foundation (UCF) at The Coaching Centre (TCC). The UCF promotes access to coaching in poor communities that cannot afford or access coaching services. He is also currently part of Senior Faculty at The Coaching Centre, Cape Town, where he delivers the module, “Coaching in the African Context”. Dumi is part-time Faculty at the University of Stellenbosch’s Business School (USB), where he delivers a Module on African Coaching Perspectives in the MPhil in Management Coaching, Cape Town.
Bonga Mnengisa, Head: Global Leadership & Career Management, MTN
Bonga is currently employed as the Head of Global Leadership & Career Management at MTN Group, having been employed there since 2009. She is a deep Organizational Development and Learning Development consultant with approximately 20 years’ experience across Financial Services, Manufacturing, Consulting and Telecommunications Sectors and is well qualified with a Master of Management in Business Executive Coaching (MMBEC) from WITS Business School, Honours degrees in HRD (University Of Johannesburg) and Education-B.ED (University of Limpopo), and a Masters diploma in HR (UJ). Bonga’s MMBEC’s thesis topic is “Exploring the experiences of expatriate executives in South African multi-corporates: the role of coaching”. Bonga is also part-time Faculty at the WITS Business School under Executive Education department.

About the Facilitator
Niël Steinmann is a specialist business consultant and registered Industrial Psychologist. He has invested more than a quarter century studying the topics of mentoring, coaching and leadership development. In 1999 he founded People's Dynamic Development, a management consultancy that utilizes African analogies to develop people and organisations to significantly increase their performance capacity. Niël is the author of Fundamentals for effective mentoring: Raising giant killers which received international recognition and endorsements from prominent and renowned leadership consultant Dr Ken Blanchard.

SETA grants and accreditation requirements
Many of our delegates enquire about the accreditation of our events. There is a misconception that organisations qualify for SETA grants only for accredited programmes. This is not correct. The payment of SETA grants is regulated by the Government Gazette, no. 9867, Vol. 570, 3 December 2012, no. 35940. These Regulations clearly state that the SETAs “must allocate a mandatory grant to a levy paying employer” that has submitted a WSP and ATR by the regulated date, has provided all the information required in the regulated template, and is up to date with skills levy payments. Furthermore, the template in the Regulations (Section C: Skills Development) allows employers to include ALL planned training in the report; not only accredited programmes.
