ABOUT THE SPEAKERS:


Niven Postma, MD of Niven Postma Inc
Niven works as a leadership and strategy consultant and facilitator with clients in South Africa, Australia, the UK and Germany, in industries as diverse as financial services, professional services, oil and gas, media and retail. She is a visiting lecturer at Henley Business School where she offers a day long course on "Navigating Office Politics"; she is also an Associate of Lead with Humanity.


Dr Renate Scherrer, Managing Director, JvR Africa
Renate Scherrer is the Managing Director of JvR Consulting Psychologists, a premier Psychological Consulting firm that applies the principles and methods of psychology to support people in dealing with the demands of organisational life. She is a registered Clinical Psychologist with the Health Professions Council of South Africa and holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology. Renate consults mostly in the field of Leadership and Engagement, focusing on optimising human potential in the organisational context. She is passionate about the assessment and development of people, i.e individual coaching; enhancing team synergy through facilitated discussion, awareness and growth; succession planning and executive on-boarding. From a clinical perspective, Renate has a specific interest in the topics of Leadership Derailment, Psychopathy in the Workplace, Toxic Leadership, and Conflict Mediation. She is an internationally accredited user of various psychometric assessments and a regular speaker at conferences, as well as an International affiliate member of the American Psychological Association (APA).
